I live in Victoria too, never heard anyone speak like that - doesn't even happen down at the pub where the "Queens English" is corrupted into a multitude of teeth gnashing dialects.

I believe the line just below location may explain the strange dialect Fabian. I'd attribute it to generation gap.Maybe it's because we are gettig old...lol.

Maybe it also has something to do with the fact that (when i was just a little tackleberry) my parents beat the **** out of me, demanding wholesale respect for the English language and proper use of phrase ;-)
