Staton has a nice system...I almost went with it but was concerned about mounting.... their web site states that the center mounted system may require the purchaser to make some of the brackets needed. At the time I didn't have any experience with any of the bike systems, but after my experience with DE I wouldn't be afraid to go with the Staton...In fact in some ways I regret not going with theirs in the first place given the price I paid for the DE system. Also I really don't think the additional 5 lbs of the Staton system would effect the balance that much more than the 12 lb DE system. My next purchase will in fact be the Staton chain drive system. With the tires you can get these days, like the Hookworm, I don't have near the concerns of flats like with most standard bike tires. Be well...
