stretch in a throttle cable...WTF
sounds like the OP didn't put it togather right
little grease on the handlebars and some where the throttlegrip rides on the pieces that grip the handlebars and it is really easy to turn
works the same way on quadcarb bikes
on the cns carbs you can put the carb slide in 180 off so the slide never closes all the way

I just assumed it was stretch in the cable. I know, on my bicycle, new brake and shifter cables stretch. When I first put it together, the throttle had an acceptable amount of take-up before moving the slide. Recently I have had to reel in 3/4 of an inch or more of cable before the slide moves. That's even when i have the cable adjustments cranked all the way out. Any ideas?

Oh yeah, what is OP?

check the carb slide if you took the carb apart
if you put it togather right the throttle cable should never see enough force on it to stretch it

now the clutch cable on the other hand....do the clutch roller mod your hand and clutch levers will thank you

Thanks IbedaYank. I checked the threads for " clutch roller mod" and could not find anything. What is it? Do you have a link?
