looking for engine sprocket cover info

I saw a post with some info not long ago about i thought drilling out or removing metal from inside your engine sprockets cover so your chain didn't become bunched up in there if it ever snapped so you wouldn't have a seized rear wheel incident. i don't know if it was on here or the motorized bicycle forum. i don't know why they don't just condense these two forums because i suppose they are owned by the same person.

never mind i found what i was looking for. new question. will filling in my sprocket cover keep the chain from bunching up?
