So I recently got a new motor from California motorbikes.com and it was supposed to be pre-ported and with a third transfer. Well I got it on the bike and I got it to run for like maybe 10 minutes and then I had some alignment issues so I shut it down. I went to go start it again today and now it won't start at all and so I took the head off and I got to looking at the Port work and I don't know that much about it but it doesn't look right to me bear in mind all pictures are taken at dead bottom center, and from all 4 sides
Any advice or insight is greatly appreciated

I retorqued them but i only ran it like 10min.
I may be wrong but it just seems to me like the intake port should be open more at bdc. Its like barely a sliver of the port showing above the piston. It does have the side transfer ports and the piston window so maybe its supposed to be like that but it just looks off to me but im new to the whole reed set up and only know some basic porting

But im getting spark and i cleaned the carb(even though it only ran about 5min lol) and its just not even trying to fire

Ok Damien you can kill this thread lol i think I found my problem.
Unfortunately it's going to require some high tech precision equipment and procedures.
We're talking a finely honed material extraction device.
And on a separate topic.... Do we have a dumba** of the week award lmao.
Ill post a pic of the issue and lets see if anyone can diagnose the problem lol.

Nope, this thread will never be deleted. It can serve as a great example of "don't discount your own ability to do something stupid, especially when tired." I promise you we have all been there and done that in some fashion at one point in our life. It keeps you humble.
