Yea, I've committed that sin myself.

Oh God, I've done that too. I even pump up my tires with a hand pump.

I use a hand pump until about 15 to 20 psi, then I finish it off with a small cordless air up tool. The hand pump I have literally won't air up past 25psi

Actually, I have two hand pumps. One is a little on board, but my main pump is shop bound. I also have a compressor.
