Ok, i placed the black top on the spark plug, but after pressing them together as hard as i could, they do not seem to stay together, but almost rest on top of each other. Am i doing something wrong? Or is it supposed to be a loose fit?

did you unscrew that little nipple on the top of the spark plug?

No, I did not unscrew the little nipple on top of the spark plug. When I do unscrew the nipple, a threaded rod is exposed. Should I use the threaded rod? Thanks for your advice. Ben

it'll prolly still "feel" loose, but you should hear it "clicking" down over the threads, if that happens, ur all set.

most of the experienced riders have advised to get a better cable & boot, but so far spark doesn't seem to be a worry for me.
