what guage spatk plug wire

I have a jax cdi and am wondering what gauge the spark plug wire is. I was wanting to replace my spark plug wire with some vintage looking braided cloth stuff. any suggestions?

What's a Jax CDI? What engine? Or do you mean Dax?
Also, do you mean the gauge of the conductor or the outer diameter of the cable including insulator?

I don't know about yours, but I am running an 8 m.m. accell superstock wire on mine.

sorry my bad I meant dax. I want to replace the spark plug wire with a wire from the the sight listed above but don't know which size to get. it is the wire from the ignition coil to the spark plug.

Just measured my stock lead - 1/4" (0.255", 6.48mm)
I bought an 8mm MSD lead and boot a while back and shaved it down to fit.
The lead broke off in the CDI while I was screwing it in. Great fun to remove.
Using the stock lead again now.

The correct answer - measure it.

7 mm wire will work fine.
