Raising my engine to adjust the chain?

So i have a Motorized Bicycle, The chain is pretty lose and this happens not very often, Last time this happened my friend raised the engine up higher to tighten the chain, This time its just me and im not sure how much i raise it or where the bolts are, etc, Can someone please help me.

Try posting a picture of the entire engine + chain + sprocket on the bike. It would help everyone here with a solution. If you are not mechanically inclined, I would always start with adjusting the chain tensioner first and not mess with the engine mounts. But, again, a picture would be a great starting point.

yes, a pic is needed as one wouldn't want the carb at too great an angle - chain could also be tightened by adding a flat piece of metal under rear mounting block

Im no pro got my own problems but there is a slack adjuster for picking up slop its a white plastic wheel on about a 4 inch strap you take it up to pick up slopp eith that look carfefully at the chain tell male from female you probably got a master link on your chain figure how many links nee to come out it goes in pairs look at your masterlink carfully to ID where break the chain use a file or grinder wear the pin flush then use a center punch or nail and hammer hit the pin out becarefull that you set the link up so you don't damage it anything that does not flow freely in the chain will jam in the gear box including the masterlink if you have trouble sliding the holder over its junk needs to be replaced.
