5hp Briggs flathead carb mods

So i know this is a bike forum but some ppl might be able to help me out here. I have a vintage go kart with a flathead Briggs. It's ported polished eyebrows have been shaved and head was decked. I am planning on swapping the weird pulsa jet carb out for a pwk 24 mm flat slide carb. The problem is I can't find an intake that will work and sadly I don't have a damn welder. Do u think that I can take a washer and some pipe and jb weld them together for an intake? I've seen ppl do that but not with jb weld lol

Fab it all up then take it to your local muffler shop.

I'd recommend a 22mm. 24mm is a bit much. Ive seen people use a 212 predator adapter and re drill the holes

You should be alright running a PWK24 I run one on my 125, its just a bit finicky

I run a stock 5hp Flatty with a 21mm Dellorto phbg carb & a 30series torq convertor. 52-56mph all day long.
