Rdm said that the problem with them is uneven pressure on crank pin from one Web to the other so that would explain how both of us have had them go out of true during operation.
Everything u have said is exactly what I have found. U r spot on
But with the case reed it seems the mains on my last one didn't get lubed enough. Pretty sure I didn't run lean and no piston or bore damage.
