Clutch High Tensile Clutch Cable or Clutch tightness?

(2010 Grubee Skyhawk GT5 80/66cc) My clutch cable keeps snapping. I know the clutch cable is where it needs to be because any less, and the idle switch on the clutch will let it die out. Any Tighter and im just streatching the cable on the fully compressed clutch bar thingy.

No it's right where it needs to be, and it still snaps. It's really tight! Is there a way to loosen the tension on that clutch bar, or perhaps buy a similarly gauged clutch cable but with a higher tensile strength?

    Much Thanks!

    Here is one solution.

Yea, Im really going to have to look into this long term. Tim in the other thread suggested i point the ball mount directly at the clutch cable because the wire was probably chaffing along the mount. I was like, "Duh" that where it was busting!! I'm a bit slow at times. So, problem solved for now, but long term it would be nice to take that extra stress off the wire. Thanks!

if I am looking at that right, it just attaches using a longer bolt through an existing clutch-cover bolt hole?

That is correct. 1/8" angle iron 2"-3" long, drill two holes 1 for a 6mm bolt (mounting) and the other for a #8 (roller), and braze a 10mm nut. I use a ball bearing patio door roller, although they make them in nylon for about 1/2 the price. I cap the back side with a nylock nut that serves as a double nut lock.

I also now drill the mounting hole under the nut. This moves the bracket further back and not as much of a angle on the cable and arm. Ideally, the clutch arm should be parallel with the frame when the clutch is engaged.

I'm going to get one, but it's gonna be a month or so before I have spare cash... yeah, it's $17 and it's gonna be a month or more before I can afford it... it's gonna be a rice month...
