I like good wool lined leather gloves. I have a pair that was made in the mid 70s I got from my grandma that are really nice.

That's what I've been using lately. Mine are still in the breakin period though so they're a little stiff but super warm and comfortable. Plus make me confident that the skin will stay on my hands when I go down
