Dear Fello Motorheads-Not sure how critical this is, but I popped off the magneto cover to ensure that all of the hardware was tight and the magneto was centered between the coil arms. The fasteners were all tight, but the magneto armature was slightly off centered. This was easily corrected . As long as the armature and coil arms are not touching, is this a critical geometry? Just curious-Gearhead437

Seems to me being centered would give both poles an equal magnetic field, most efficient for producing an electric field. If off centered one pole field would be stronger than the other, less efficient. Just my way of thinking, some smarter folks here might have a scientific reason it's not so.
