Missing Cover Plate???

Is there a cover plate that is supposed to be mounted over the cavity under the tail light? If so, mine is missing on my '05 NE5 and I can see the wiring inside.

HI Go, that was introduced for the 07 model year i think, and is standard on late 07-08 models, availble as a part. In stock with some dealers (myself included)

Your bike never had this option, neither did my 05

Hi Go, it has "ears" on it, and the license plate bolt slots line up with the taillight bracket to give a finished look, hiding all the turn-signal wiring.
