weasle being my sparkplug! i've got a new grubee 2 stroke. can anyone tell me why the motor blew the sparkplug out of the head. it was tightened down and it didn't shake loose. it blew out. it was not crossthreaded and the plug got so hot the terminal was part out of the porcelein. also this motor seems to get excessively hot. i had the head cover painted. would that have anything to with it? has anyone experienced this? what can be done? can this be rethreaded?:mad:

A picture of the defective head might be interesting to see. There are Heli Coil kits available. My suggestion to you get a new head. There is no doubt a casting defect in it.

Sounds to me like you are running very lean. Lean=heat and theses things will not take it for long. Was the engine running really well before this happened? A lean engine will run real good up to the point where it fails prematurely.
Good luck

Jim
