it is possible, just challenging.
one, as i first said, go four stroke.
about a 1 cube...or 16 cc approx. or a 1.2...20cc
very quiet, sound nice, torquey... can be converted to petrol/spark ignition... running premix...though with mods you could go sump/dry sump perhaps...
now. drivetrain and reductions.
look at a diesel electric train. cables are very flexible...
need i say more?
