Should we start steering newbies to friction drives?

They wont have to worry about if the engine will fit, they wont be asking about chain tension, they wont have to deal with mounting a sprocket. I know the mid mount looks cool and the friction drive looks goofy BUT: its almost idjut proof.
 
I have a bike that I might make a friction drive.its a 1970s K-Mart special ladies bike. If I can find a solex engine or a sears engine of the Era I will do that.
