Stripped stud

Grade 5...it's all we ever use in ultralight aircraft. "aircraft grade bolts are just grade 5 that are more or less inspected for flaws.

Yes Clecos for doing sheetmetal work,
I did a bit of that when I worked in aviation. . .

Well the one in my signature was my first,
but I did do alot of fabrication to the bike,
front and rear fenders, the seat mount and
close out below the seat . . .

But I am planning on starting bikes from scratch. . .
basically a stack of tubing. . .

We'll see . . .

For more detail pic of my bike look here:

The usual stuff:

cut off wheel(big help)
drills
sanders
grinder
rivit gun (pneumatic)
pop rivit ( not my first choice)
welding (I had to out source but I am working on getting a welder)
Imagination
determination
ingenuity

Those last 3 are propably the most important . . .

Alot of people scratched there heads and laughed when I said
I was going to make an Indian beach cruizer . . .

I Just stripped a stud pulling the bolt way out loosing it!!

I Just stripped a stud pulling the bolt way out loosing it!!! I think going around 30 MPH (Looking at my speedometer) did the trik of stripping it. It is the one that helps the clamp grab the bike post below the seat. :( So help me. I guess I should screw in a larger bolt that is Grade 5 than the one that came with the dax kit? Would that be the sturdyest replacement? :?
