Suddenly, no spark....

I just finished advancing cam, took the bike out for a ride - it was running great, then it just shut off and I have not been able to find the problem. I checked the switch wiring on the handlebar and key and it seemed to be fine. Any ideas?

Make sure there's not a tiny sliver of carbon between the electrode and ground strap on the plug that's grounding it out

Yes, pulled plug and it looked fine. I had it out when I checked for spark.

One of the advantages of having a Whizzer owner next door....swapped out the coil and now have spark. Very strange though to have a coil suddenly fail within minutes of starting the bike, I think.
