Just pulled the trigger on Skyhawk in-tank frame.

Going for a vintage muscle bike look. Something simular to these.

The covers were painted when I got it.
Did all the old engines have 40mm intakes?
All real Skyhawk engines have a metal badge riveted to the left clutch cover, even taken off it leaves 2 little holes in the cover.

None are 40mm intake so I don't know what you have, a Jet maybe, but hey, if it goes that's all that matters right?

Well ya, you don't want to ride around with a metal badge on your engine saying it's illegal.

The 48cc badges however are a coveted item.

It still amazes me how many guys are trying to sell their bikes with larger than legal engines and telling people that they are 100% street legal.

With any luck they will all be legal next year.
Phoenix Mayor Stanton is an avid bike rider and pushing for more bike friendly lanes in Phoenix.
He's pro small business too.

I have contacted his office and started a conversation about MB's.
If I can get him to add a city ordinance OKing 66cc the Sate Legislature can be lobbied better as I have had dismal response from them for 5 years now.

For now though it is simply wrong to mislead.
I see ad's claiming Legal 80cc 4-5HP 45mph bikes for $350, what a crock.
Then again, maybe 4-5 HP means Hours of Propulsion before the HT Huffy fails ;-}
