Take the cable out of the sheath and coat it liberally with grease. Make sure the cable is as straight as possible.

I have one of these and it works fine. I wouldn't call it "rock steady", but it's steady enough.

I have a wireless $60 on my first bike... and $9.95 Walmart schwinn wired on my other 2. Will stay with the wired from now on... just route the pick up wire away from the spark plug and kill button wire.
