When I'm traveling in the summer Metairie long drive what's a good safe way to carry extra PETROL?????
I have a rack on the rear of my bike with an insulated square pack on the back and two small pannier bags.
I have a cleaning bottles kind of like Lysol cleaning bottle, I cleaned it out really good you can't smell anything and I swished it out with gas if you times and let it air out. I thought of selling that up and giving it a little squeeze and tightening the cap with an O ring on it. The reason for the little squeeze is as it expands from the heat a little bit I don't want it exploding

I actually started saving a couple of those aluminum Coca Cola bottles in the small ones. I have a couple filled with gas right now sitting in my garage to see how well they hold gas, It's been about 2 weeks no problems yet but you're standing up right I'm going to tell them tomorrow.

Kinda weird that I was seriously about to create a new thread for the same exact topic!?!?

I thought of using a large Gatoraide bottle. Fill it up before I leave, empty it out after I get back (if I don't use it)

My bike only has a 1/4 of a gallon gas tank which means I can't go far:)

That's why I would not fillit all the way and give her a squeeze so that there is some play in the bottle so it if it expands? You won't have exploded gatorade bottle of gas with you. You get what I'm saying?
