anyone ruined thier motor?

anybody here over reved thier HT? i see alot of fear in redlining but no reports of destruction.

I did it once with a roller bearing HT engine using a 50 tooth sprocket going full throttle down hill. THe roller bearing cage disintegrated and took out the entire top end. I never had this issue using a bushing engine which I feel took more abuse and lasted just as long when castor oil was used in the oil blend.

That was the chat at the PNW rally - the needle bearing engines aren't all that. Speculation is that not enough lube be making it to the bearings.......
