Chug-a-Lug

Mine does run quite well at low rpm now. As previously mentioned the properly shaped and gapped squish helped.
One of the things I experimented with was the filter housing after the stock one let dirt in.
I used various shaped plastic bottles to explore their shape's effect on performance.

This little clear bottle gave the best high rpm performance

Closer look. You can barely see the foam filter inside it. Yes that is snow on the bike.
A side effect of this investigation is that the green bottle (Perrier!) gave diesel like low rpm performance

The bike would idle away from a dead stop and climb hills at low rpm.
Unfortunately it totally killed top end power and top speed.
