That's fine, just check the alignment with the rear mount in place on the motor, then find out what your real options are.

Yeah the problem is if I center it.....doesn't seem like a lot of space to work with. I like the idea of elongating the holes, but I gotta take a look....appreciate the advice. I'll keep you all posted on how terribly I f*** this up.

You won't f*** it up if you take your time to plan it out.

It's not if you center it it's if you HAVE to center it. The geometry of the mount placement may require that the front is centered simply because both mounts are offset, and the rear one will be centered along the midpoint in the engine casing halves.
