confusing problem...

My cylinder bore seems scuffed and scratched. There is plenty of oil in the mix, so much it drips out the exhaust. I know it isnt running weak, as there is plenty of smoke, and coke in the piston top. Very confusing, could bad rings be the culprit?
BTW the engine still works fine, but smoke plenty and istn as powerful as my 60cc.

is it mostly scratched on just one side of the wall or evenly all around
just kind of sounds like
possibly time to go in a little deeper -- pull the jug and inspect the rings ??

All round the bore there i scuffing, but it is worse on one side, least scratching directly opposite the transfer port. Yeah i should but really busy at the moment. The engine still runs so Im tempted to buy a new bore/ sleeve and a new set of rings and replace if the bike starts running badly. Then I can port the new bore ready for install.

Mine has patches of scratches instead of just one side. At first I was horrified since there there was only 400 miles on it at the time, but since I can't feel the scratches with my thumbnail I am not concerned. Chrome shows cosmetic scratches easily and I am hoping that is all it is.
