folding connectors

I am build an aluminum beach wheelchair. i want to be able to fold it in half when i put in in my car. What kind of part would i need for this . i have no idea . I want to be able to push a button so it will fold and it snap back together when i am ready to use it.

Push a button and it folds up, sounds like you would need some type of actuator system for this to be done automaticly.

Could be quite challenging for this to be done on an aluminum wheelchair, and then if you are talking about sand, you would seriously have to consider much wider tires on it as well.

Anyone have some ideas?

Yea I think a actuator would work.another factor would be what kind of motor are you planning on using. need to kigure out how heavy it would be and how much space you will have to mount the actuators in.
