Lower center of gravity is another advantage of a frame mount.
A 20+ lb engine over the rear tire probably takes a little while to get used to!

Can anyone show me pics of the crankshaft side of the greyhound 2.5 engine? I thought I saw a bolt pattern on one around the crank, and had an idea for a rack mount setup.

That's sweet. I can bolt that right together without making a bottom-mounting plate for it. I'm going to have a nice little friction drive for about $10 more than the cost of that engine!
