im looking to turn the jug around on my 80cc/66cc motor any tips and opinions for going about doing this correctly.... seems more logical to have the carb facing towards the wind.

flip both the jug and the piston, port match the case, and fabricate a new exhaust system. you'll likely need to extend the intake as well. flipped jug motors are screamers, so port and gear for high rpms.

while you've got the thing apart it's a good idea to replace the top end bearing with a higher quality bearing or a brass bushing.

my last motor had a flipped jug and it did 53 mph

hell yeah dude how would i go about port matching. fabricating a new exhaust wouldnt be to hard

you just have to make the transfer ports on the case match the transfer ports on the jug. they're not symmetrical so it's just a little bit of die grinder work. Set the base gasket on the case backwards, trace the new lines out and get to work hogging out material.
