Does anyone have any experience with a Motobecane moped,I found a non running one in decent shape for $300 dollars,not sure if that is a good deal or not.

I've had 2. I loved them, great mopeds

People HATE the "Gurtner" carbs these come with. Hop over to treatland.tv and you can get everything you need to convert to a dellorto 15.15.

I did that. Mine ran soooo smooth. I miss it sometimes.

It's really easy to start, too. Walk next to it at about 3 mph then let off the decompression and it turns right on.

Since these have cvt transmissions, they take off a good bit faster than a lot of other old mopeds.

I really need to get out in the garage and do some work on my motorcycle,need fork seals and replace the front brakes where fork oil leaked down on the pads.

It has been for sale for 9 weeks,dropped price from $400 to 300.

I have seen several running ones going for around $1000

I sold mine for around 750 or 800 to my cousin.

I forgot to mention, the odometer has actually rolled over. They roll over at 10k. So I reckon about 11,000 miles on it now. Not bad, considering it's still running perfectly.

I kinda like the fact that it doesn't take clutch oil or anything. Easier maintenance.

I would buy it. Even if you just sold parts off it on ebay you would make money off it
