Motorized bike build

It also seems like there is a law saying it cannot be above 50cc and or above 30 mph, which means it can't get registered / plates

I was stoked on the idea of an affordable transportation

There is your under 50cc solution.

And prove it'll do over 30.

We're very small fish, if you want to do it legally, they aren't going to measure your cylinder and stroke.
Plus you can get a 4 stroke engine under 50cc.

Or ride dirty till you get busted and then go through the process.

here is some information.

does the 80cc do 4 or more horsepower?
From the link you posted both a moped and a motor-driven cycle can be up to a 149cc. The moped is limited to a speed of 30 mph the reason for the 4 hp limit. The motor-driven cycle can have more hp and is allowed to go up to the posted speed limit. If I remember CA law correctly a motor-driven cycle isn't allowed on interstates.

you missed me there with the moped / motor driven cycle stuff, I'm looking at this part

No. These 80s are maybe 1.5-2.5 depending on manufacturer and mods. @WillitBoost and two stroke stuffing have done dyno testing on these kits.

The moped tag is cheap. 23 usd. No M endorsement is required but the vehicle has to have the tags. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/handbook/motorcycle-handbook/license-requirements/

A visual guide from Moped army on the form for the tags. https://www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/California_Moped_registration_for_dummies

Supposedly you put the bikes serial number as the VIN. Post in thread 'Motorized Bicycles Laws and Registration California' https://motoredbikes.com/threads/mo...and-registration-california.49883/post-435956

@Wrench has all of the up to date information on California law covering all of this...Just wait for his imput on all of this, especially since he is also a Southern California Resident and has already done this proceedure with himself as well as helped others to do this as well.

All the advice has been really good. I strongly suggest researching what government/privately owned assistance programs are available to you. These can be a big boost to your income.

When I found out I'm borderline diabetic, I had to make changes to my diet and get on medication for it. I also had to overcome bad eating habits like: depression eating, boredom snacking, and sugar cravings. By getting rid of some bad habits it put extra money into my pocket and made me healthier.

For emotional support get a pet if you don't have one. If you can't have animals in your residence, strays will show up at your door everyday for a meal lol 🐕🦝🐈🐇🐿🦨 Once they bond with you it can encourage you to get healthier. Because you know if you don't take care of them then nobody else will.

Building with many of us has gotten to a spiritual level. When our bikes are performing well we seem to be doing well. When our bikes are having issues we tend to have issues. It's my prayers you find that inner piece within yourself and transfer that over into your build. As your creation comes to life a healthier version of you also develops.
All is true. It's been a little rough lately as I've been too busy to fix and ride my bike or finish my new one.

I have suffered in this world, grew up in a shattered home with abusive father and not knowing if I will eat or have running water, not knowing if I will be mentally or physically abused.
I suffered though severe bullying and mental breakdowns that followed.

I currently suffer from a hostile, toxic workplace to support my disabled mother, my disabled sister and my autistic brother.

I'm in my mid 30's now (today is my birthday)unable to start a life of my own because of this, still sharing a room with my brother.

I draw strength from Christ, and although it's still not easy, I still walk with Jesus besides me, I don't know where I'm going, but I'm heading towards where I need to be, day by day.

We are all here in this together regardless of your creed, we march on.

You will find a solution to your problem, take a deep breath and carry on.

Happy birthday! (Or as happy as it can be). Just remember; tough times create tough men.
