New Bofeng carb

Thats what I'm gonna do. I like making instead of buying. Lol. I bought this kit for a friend of my daughter's who doesn't have much. He was super excited to install with me on his older mountain bike, but oops, missing a much needed part. Im gonna make one. Lol
Put the rivet in a drill press and sand it down to the right taper. The tricky parts is getting the groove for the clip in the right place.

You make a cradle to hold it and be able to spin it. Just a square of wood, a hole in the side, a notch cut to half the hole. Then hold it up to the scroll saw, or use your dremel. The needle hangs out so you can spin it with your fingers while it lightly touches the blade in the notched side part. You don't need much off. lol

Bottom Bofeng, middle new( speed) NT, top old style NT. ( this relates to the picture above. ) I started from bottom to top when measuring the needle length. The first length pic is the bofeng, after is the speed, then the old style nt. The next picture got flipped upside down somehow. lol

I like the one I put on my bone stock motor, but on my motor with reed valve, and all the goodies it only runs at 3/4 choked. Can't find the proper jets to go bigger on the jet. Got the wrong OD jets three times. Had to order some drill bits. I have found the proper OD and thread size, in #100 and above. Other than that I like these carbs. For the price if you are on a budget they work.

If your running the BoFeng carby, then these are the jets that fit it, They are not the same OD diameters as the normal kit version NT carby's...DAMIEN

Has anyone tried the 19mm Bofeng carb. It looks to be a NT knockoff but without the fuel purge button It also has a thicker flange where it meets the intake. It's clamp also seems to be a stronger one less likely to leakView attachment 156488View attachment 156489
I got one on my phantom and float deal is problem, think it needs blown out with air hose, cause gas keeps flowing out from carb
