Welcome to MBc, Steven. If you read everything you can...especially the stickies at the top of each Forum, you may find that you knew more than you thought you knew. That is sort of convoluted, but I think it gets to the point. Be sure to make use of our search function. Most everything you need to know, has been asked and answered at one time or another. If you really run into a brick wall, post a question in the proper Forum, and one of our gurus should come to your aid.

You seem to be starting out with the proper attitude and the correct state of mind. So, clear your head, and 'git 'er done.

Welcome to the forum. You don't need a rolling chest of tools to do the install. A crescent wrench, channel locks or pliers and screw driverswill handle most of it. You may need metric hex wrenches on a multispeed bike. A wire stripper helps but you can manage without it.

    Welcome

Welcome to the forum Steven. Wheelbender is right, you don't need a lot of tools. I do recomend that you buy a good 10mm wrench. Most of the nuts are tens. Also, and I think EVERYONE will agree, replace all the studs and nuts with a better quality. The stuff they give you is junk and BGF is not known for quality in his kits. (Let me qualify.) BGF sells the same kit as MOST, not ALL, of the other venders. He does sell them cheaper so replacing the studs and nuts is not that big a deal. As a matter of fact I think BGF also sells the upgraded stuff, It's just not included in his kits. This one thing will save you a lot of problems in the future. Good luck with the build.
    Shiney Side Up,
    Big Red.
