when are shift kits most useful.I know hills but how big of hill???

A SBP shift kit allows the rear freewheel to be used (thus the bikes full range of gears on the rear sprocket) so it would be dependent on sprocket size to how big a hill your going to climb and how fast you will ultimately go, i would imagine though there wouldnt be too many hills steep enough to worry one in first gear would there? The SBP is a great kit (lil on the pricey side IMHO) but very well made and EXCELLENT customer support.
