<<< Sick Bikes Felt Red Barron Cruiser >>>

alright!!!! I am finally finished... It took forever (well actually four solid days and a couple of weeks on the net and waiting for shipping) but it is actually done. I had the nuvinci hub laced into my wheel yesterday and installed it today. All I can say is... WOW!!!!! Besides making my bike way faster through the higher gear ratios, it has an unexpectedly much smoother power delivery. here is a list of what I have put on the bike in case anybody is interested...

2007 felt Red Barron cruiser
Zoombicycles 80cc engine kit
Sick Bikes deluxe jackshaft kit
Nuvinci CVP hub
Ridley Motorcycles front mount
upgraded plug and plug wire
upgraded fuel filter
upgraded air filter
Dual pull brake lever (no brakes yet)
Port matched intake and exhaust
(Wal-Mart) Bell leather tool bag
(Wal-Mart) Schwin rear bicycle rack
...a ton of red electrical tape

I would just like to thank Jim @ sick bikes for his help... he called even after we exchanged e-mails and solved my problems, just to make sure I was taken care of. I appreciate all comments, thanks for looking...

Administrator can check this quite easily if VTec has a static I.P address, both this MBferret and VTec will be same I.P address. I administrate a forum myself and know how easy it is to check and deal with, if the admins here are serious about running their forum i guess they will do so also? Seems strange when a person is banned their threads are not locked, pointless keeping them open they cannot reply to members questions no?

I don't care why, or what. I just want to know how he fit that hub in the rear of that frame. Right now, I have the same hub and frame sitting in my garage, and before I spread the rear, I wanted to hear if he had to do the same thing.

vtec should be back in 10 days. I'm sure your questions will be answered then.

His bike is a beauty!!!

It is a beautiful bike indeed but if it hasn't got brakes then it becomes unuseable. I notice the downtube looks like it has been squeezed to become narrower where the front engine clamp to it. That is how it appears on the photo but I might be wrong,

Your question seems a bit odd to me...

You have the frame and you have the hub... does the hub fit the frame?

If it doesn't fit and you still want to get it in there then there should be a relatively simple way to get it in there - requires pulling with one hand and pushing with one foot...

Yup, sure is, one of my favorite bikes on here, don't even know why to tell the truth. Just something about it....

Vtec is banned? What did he do? I don't recall ever reading anything I would call bad from the guy.... then again I'm not a mod and don't read every post...

Dilly, it went something like that ;)

I used a threaded rod, couple of nuts, couple of washers, and a space heater. It's a tight fit, but it works!

Awesome bike sir. What tires did you use and did you have any issues with them being so wide?

You can do that to a steel frame but I wouldn't advise bending an alloy frame because they can crack - the seat stays and chain stays might just crack & break if you used a spreader on the rear drop outs. By how many mm is the gap between the drop outs too small?

didnt have to spread anything... still no brakes. Which really isn't a big deal if you are careful.

Tires came with the bike... available at the felt usa website.

Here is a more recent picture.... thanks for the comments.
