Hi folks.
I’m looking for ideas.
I’ve got a couple of Chinese dirt bike engines - I’ll just call them “Lifan style engines”
I’m looking for some mounting ideas. I’m thinking about mounting below the frame.
I’ll fab and weld if I need to (or have it welded since I’m still learning)

Anyone have ideas to inspire me?

I built a Lifan 125cc years back. I found a seller on ebay selling the brackets that mount the engine from the top/sides. I mounted them to the engine then welded them to the frame. Was no fab easy. My son built a similar bike but fabbed mounts to use the holes under the engine.

You need two mounting points for sure, either an upper and lower or a front and back.
I was figuring I’d need at least 2. Maybe 3. I have a 50 and a 110. I’ll probably go with the 50

Above is the engine. 50cc
Very similar to the one I have, but my starter is under the cylinder. That way it's easy to mount the carb facing forward or back. Those little manifolds fit either way, but looks like your starter might interfere.

That’s why I couldn’t install it on my s90 frame.
As a side note, who wants an s90 frame?
