Cool, 1st FD Whizz I've seen. Notice the drive belt on that? It looks like a ribbon, don't see how that would last.

Is that some sort of air filter under the tank? Looks cool... Might just be like a mini toolbox or something.

That has a switch and a loom going into it. On/off switch, maybe a battery for the lights. Can't see any wires coming out.

I think its either a battery for a kerosene tank for the light.

Yep, the first Whizzer was a Friction Drive, Model D engine kit with a 2/3 gal gas tank sold for $55 in 1939

Schwinn was a popular bike to mount it on
I would say that's a battery box to power lights under the tank

Me? I would repair whatever is necessary to make it "ridable" ... I would KEEP the original tires, but replace them with new meat.

I would enjoy the bike.

or trade it for Whizzer's first factory production bike, 1948 Pacemaker in pristine restored condition
