  I had the same problem early on... Then I bought a Tung Lin 12v/6w dynamo. I've been using it for close to 2 years with no problems whatsoever...

  The generator for the lights will explode on you quite soon at motorised bike speeds...It was never designed for sustained speeds over 15 MPH.
