Can it damage the motor if I ride with a straight pipe? (or my improvised muffler)

I have been riding my motorized bike around with no muffler, just the pipe. Is this dangerous? Also, here is what happened to the muffler and here is my provision. I literally took some soda cans and sliced them in layers, then I put some pipe clamps around it. The whole point was to create back pressure, not muffle the sound.

Kinda reminds me of when i ran my bike with a monster can over my muffler as a sleeve with a hole in the bottom for the pea shooter to stick out of it, just for laughs :D. Is that thing sealed well? I know for certain 2 strokes will never run at peak performance and fuel efficiency without a proper expansion chamber. I do know that if your fandangled exhaust allows any cold air to reach the exhaust port on the scavenge cycle its all bad.

No danger, the muffle section of a muffler is designed only for muffling, however that pipe is pretty close to being too short, you'll get higher rpms than normal with it taking longer to come off the gas.

The pipe might be just long enough o act as a 'good enough' heatsink, the more metal there you have attached the more heat it can trap and dissipate correctly, the point is to keep the cylinder temperature about even all the way around.

You're chances of receiving a ticket are probably tripled with that pipe but I digress.

Since you're going to want to shop for a new muffler (you will so don't argue) why don't you read up on proper expansion chambers and your options to really bring that bike to life.

The only danger is annoying your neighbors and looking like a dingbat.

I been doing a lot of research and the F2 thruster exhaust is the best pipe to get
