Interesting concept for a two stroke I saw.

As far as I understand it the big change is that the oddly shaped piston allows a more efficient combustion while still being piston ported. Also linked a playlist from an engineer who's designing a variant with low cost and ease of manufacture being the big focus. Not intended for commercial success but it looks like hes having fun woth the project.
