Is the magneto in these kits running AC output? If so how can you turn it into DC?

I upgraded my magneto it has 4 wires 2 that goto the CDI box and the other 2 should be 12Volts stock magnetos have 2 to 3 wires and are running 6 volts but is it 6VAC?
I am waiting for some parts so I can start her again but I want to add a 12VDC 10ah battery so I can run a Coleman 12vdc 7ah quick-inflate air pump.
Now if the magneto does put out 12vac then I need to find a way to convert that into DC.

I'd go to junkyard and put an old honda rectifier on it.

How to get power to the generator and creating a voltage regulator would be the challenge. Then wire lights and everything into the battery and set the generator up as a charging circuit to keep the battery charge.
