Thanks for the schematic. You can see from this that you can evaluate the secondary by measuring resistance between ground and the plug wire terminal. Mine was 6K3.
I think it was the mechanics of the engine rubbing without the ignition of the spark. Works inside moving without combustion.
There's always been like a high pitch whine within the clutch crankcase especially at high speeds and low throttle. But other than that she still runs like a champ and pushing 3,000 miles soon on engine.
Still can't believe I had an extra CDI laying around that I hadn't used and thought I did LOL.
