We are just letting you know if you didnt already how ignorant ny is about thier laws. Kinda stupid laws you ask me you would think they would be glad to get the extra money. By making it legal and tagged. But if you got it all figured out good luck but regardless to say you will have a lot of tinkering to do on these thing. Thats no doubt at all and once you have a sucessful ride you will be hooked.

I've gone through it, and the simple reason Combustion Motor Assisted Bicycles aren't legal to register or even ride is because they aren't DOT approved. Ridiculous. Further, the safety of the rider on a moped with a similar engine, which is street legal is of an almost negligible difference. I don't get it either.
