I'm thinking about a performance carb and air filter but the round air filter to me looks like when it rains it would get soaked. I do a lot of riding in the rain. I'm in Florida and it rains almost every day here. Would this be a problem?

Water in the cylinder turns to steam. There's always a certain percentage of water vapor in the air at all times. Unless it's a deluge in the intake, what's the harm?

Water getting to the magneto or into the guts of the CDI, now that's a big problem.
