Saturday 5/14 went down to CustomMotoredBicycles.com and did an exchange with Lynn for a Sturmey Archer XL-FD hub'd wheel.
Perfect fit in the Monark II springer. While there admiring her various builds, I had a chance to inspect a couple of her MB's that had both Springer and fender. One had fender that was bolted into the steerer fork and the others were mounted via fender stays to the sprung fork. Lynn claimed to never have a problem with the former which was surprising as it carries a 79cc Predator engine.
We had snow showers yesterday too.
