If you don't have any measuring equipment, you can take a stud or bolt from the carb and try it in the hole. Those are usually 6mm, if it's too loose then the hole is 8mm.

Put a bolt from the exhaust or case cover in the hole and spin it down. If it fits, m6, if it dont, m8.
