Hello all,

I just moved to Peru and see these gas powered bicycles all over. I may look into getting into manufacture of some kind of powered bike. I have looked into the electric hub types from China, am going to look into the small brushless electric motor with a gear on it. and also the gas powered engines that seem to be a favorite in Peru. I can build almost anything if I put my mind to it so I see this as an adventure. Looks to have an easy learning curve. My main problem I see so far is the shipping costs. Well that about sums up what I am in for. I have a good background in things that are mechanical. A good background in design and application. And a will to learn.

I am American just moved here from WI, MO, or FL. I started a trip around the world on a 28' sailboat down the Mississippi and got sidetracked by a beautiful Peruvian girl. So now I have to see where that is going to lead.

You're livin' the dream, man!!!!

In 20 years I'll sure as heck be disappointed that I didn't have an adventure like that.

In fact, I already am.........

If I had a dollar for every time someone said that exact same thing to me I would not have to work any more.

Hi Skipper Dan, nice to see somebody getting swayed of the track by a nice Peruvian girl, hope it's still going good for you but according to the date of your post lot may have happened though, why I am writing is to say hello as my life's path may have been similar.
Now I am retired and tinkering with putting motors on bikes, but was a merchant marine and did yacht deliveries around central America, Caribbean and U S east coast and enjoyed it very much but, if it isn't imposing, where in Peru are you ? I am in Iquitos, heaven on earth, weather ways, and if ever you or anyone else reading this post is around here, are welcomed just drop me a line on - wonderer333@gmail.com -.So best regards and lots of luck. Vlad.
