goggy, if you cut the pipe off inside the muffler then the total added length you need for the header is 13 inches. If you did that then you need to add 7 more inches to what you have now.

Jaguar i cut and extended my muffler pipe by 6", i only wedge cut the pipe inside the muffler did not remove it, so it still holds the bottom cap on. i did remove the baffle plates though, and port matched the flange and gasket,

That wedge opening in the pipe defined the tuned length, so you now need to add more inches to the header pipe. Cutting the wedge at 2 inches inside the muffler means you need to add 5 more inches.
