Plastic Camshaft?

Motor is still running, just not optimally. Took less than 2 hours to tear the engine down, diagnose the issue then rebuild. I have tons of life left on this cam, just slowly getting weaker torque...just wanted my starting power back with a part that would last years. Itd'd be one thing if the part was better than the stock huasheng cam...but its identical...

In that case I'd make em eat it.

believe it or not I,m just gettin around to dinner, and tomorrow is booked solid with completely grease and oil covered beaters. I am anxious though. You'll be the first to hear about it.

I was not a believer in the M16 rifle, plastic valve covers and plastic cams, but since I tried the first 2, I have become a believer.

It isn't the material, but the task at hand that matters. Does it do the job?

It does the job until it snaps - and costs $2400 to repair

I would only worry if you were ungoverning an engine for higher speed/rpm. Many briggs push mowers have the same plastic cams.
